Australian indie pop band, San Cisco, will be making their way to Philly this summer as part of their upcoming North American tour. The tour, which is in support of their new album, Gracetown, will see the band through June and early July. They’ll kick things off in LA and make their way to the East Coast to wrap up the tour with their final two stops in Philly (on 7/1) and New York the following night. Get your tickets now and head to Johnny Brenda’s this July to see them perform!
San Cisco got their start back in 2009, when they were performing under the alias King George. Since then, the 4-piece has gone on to sign with Fat Possum Records for the release of their debut album, which dropped in November of 2012. The self-titled album was described as having a sound that was “rough, low-fi garage pop” mixed with “bright catchy hooks.” The album featured their singles, “Wild Things” and “Fred Astaire.”
Now, we finally have their long-awaited sophomore release, Gracetown, which dropped just a month ago. In their history of performing, the band has provided support for the likes of The Vaccines, and Darwin Deez. As headliners this time around, San Cisco will have support from their pals The Prettiots for their upcoming North American tour. So head to JB’s a little early to catch the openers perform.
