Twenty One Pilots have been riding high off the success of their killer debut full-length album, Vessel. And this fall, they’ll be taking their Blurryface Tour on the road in support of their highly anticipated upcoming album of the same name. The college friends from Columbus, Ohio joined forces back in 2009. They released a self-titled debut album that same year and began touring their home state in support of the release. The band originally consisted of four members, but come 2011, two of those original members had left the band due to scheduling conflicts, leaving just Tyler Joseph. He would later be joined by now drummer, Josh Dunn.
The pair released their second self-released album that summer and would eventually sign to Fueled by Ramen where they would release their first official full-length album. They’ve toured with the likes of Neon Trees, Walk the Moon, and Fall Out Boy. And in their short history of performing together, the pair have made quite a name for themselves due in large part to their stellar live shows and their undeniable chemistry. In the several performances they have done in Philly, they have never failed to impress, and it’s no doubt that their upcoming gig at Festival Pier will be no different.
With the summer season ending, what better way to say goodbye to outdoor concerts than with a show at Festival Pier this September?
