The warm weather has finally arrived in Philly and with that comes a slew of exciting concert announcements for this summer. And what’s summer in Philly without Radio 104.5’s Summer Block Party Series. The event, which is now located exclusively at Festival Pier is back for another year of exciting (and FREE!) summer shows. The first of which was announced yesterday. No details yet on when you can RSVP, so keep your eyes and ears tuned to Radio 104.5.

This year’s Block Party Series will go down on Sundays, once a month, from May through September. With the first show going down on Sunday, May 3rd. The exciting lineup features The Airborne Toxic Event, Banks, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Bad Suns, and Mo Lowda and the Humble. This is sure to be a hugely popular event, and tickets have gone FAST for all of the previous block parties, so do not miss your chance to download your free tickets to guarantee your entry at the first Block Party of the season.

Radio 104.5 also announced the dates for their other shows, so mark your calendars now for June 7th, July 12th, August 2nd, and September 13th. All of the events are free, all ages shows. There is absolutely no better place to spend a Sunday afternoon this summer than at one of these great shows, with fabulous views of Penn’s Landing in the background. Last year’s Block Parties featured performances from the likes of Grouplove, Vance Joy,  Bleachers, Phantogram, and Chvrches. And if the first lineup is any indication, Radio 104.5 has an even bigger summer planned for us this year!
