Stromae @ Electric Factory 9/17

Stromae is currently in the process of kicking off his North American tour in Austin at SXSW. He’ll be making a few appearances at the festival before headed up north for a show in Vancouver. He’ll travel across North America before headlining his biggest stage yet, Madison Square Garden this October. Fans of the Belgian dance-pop star can catch him this September in Philly when he performs at the Electric Factory. Grab your tickets now and head to the EFactory on September 17th.

Stromae sold out his last Philly appearance when he played The Troc last year. And that show also happened to be his Philadelphia debut. Tickets for Stromae’s Electric Factory show just went on sale this past weekend, but act fast. With the singer/songwriter’s growing popularity, those tickets won’t be available for long. His album’s already boast appearances from Angel Haze and Kanye West.

His music combines light danceable tunes with songs that touch on some pretty dark elements, like his father’s death. But Stromae says, “Who decided that when you dance you don’t have to think? I’m not making music for intelligent people or dumb people. I’m just making music for people.” And he’s making quite a name for himself in doing so. Recently nabbing a spot on the Hunger Games: Mockingjay-Part 1 soundtrack along with Lorde, Pusha T, Q-Tip, and Haim.
