Pearl Jam continue to add to their already lengthy history by announcing a few South American dates as part of a tour that will begin in the Fall of this year. The dates are the first South American dates that Pearl Jam has undertaken since 2013.
This November, Pearl Jam will play shows in Chile, Brazil, and Mexico for the first time in nearly two years. The tour comes in support of their latest record, Lightning Bolt, which was released back in November. Pearl Jam have been performing in a variety of different shows and venues over the last couple of years, unwittingly becoming aware of the fact that this past year marked the band’s twenty-third anniversary. To mark the occasion, Pearl Jam have been up to quite a bit. The tour dates confirmed for this year follow on the heels of a Fall 2014 Tour. In an event unrelated to the tour, Pearl Jam were joined onstage by Sleater-Kinney last December in a one-off reunion performance.
The South American Tour will begin on November 4 in Santiago, Chile. No North American dates have been confirmed as of yet.
