A first trailer of the previously announced “Montage Of Heck,” the first fully-authorized documentary about Nirvana’s frontman and grunge music icon Kurt Cobain, has been revealed. Lively and intriguing, some would say.
With a string performance of “Smells Like Teen Spirit” as a soundtrack, so as “Stay Away” and “All Apologies” playing, the trailer shows Krist Novocelic, Courtney Love and a bunch of others talking about Cobain’s life position about stuff, his special view on things, much footage of Cobain as a child, and – what’s not clear for now – animation featuring Kurt during his adolescence.
The project, with Frances Bean Cobain as executive producer, and a first-ever documentary about Kurt Cobain made in full cooperation with the family, will debut on HBO in 2015. Besides a lot of new facts about Kurt and his family, the doc will also include unreleased tracks like a Beatles cover and a 12-minute acoustic song, according to Stereogum.
