After announcing the release of their sophomore album back in January, the Austin alternative rock band Ume has kept fans happy with a continuous influx of new material. So far, they have provided us with the brand new single “Chase It Down” and a psychedelic visionary experience with the “Black Stone” music video.
On Tuesday, the 3-piece band comprised of guitarist/vocalist Lauren Larson, drummer Aaron Perez and bassist Eric Larson revealed that a six-track EP is in the works. Too Big World will be available April 7th via Dangerbird Records. Among the list of tracks is a cover of Neil Young’s “Hey Hey, My My (Into the Black),” a rendition Archers of Loaf’s “Web In Front,” and unreleased b-sides from recording sessions in collaboration with producer Adam Kasper.
If you’re headed to SXSW this month, don’t miss out on a live performance from the talented trio.
