News on Knight’s recent hit-and-run has been supplemented with video evidence. With a visual of the crime, things don’t look so good for the ex-owner of Death Row Records.
Following a wild course of events last month, TMZ released footage of rapper Suge Knight’s altercation on the set of the film Straight Outta Compton, which is based on the emergence of NWA in Los Angeles in the 1980’s. Suge reportedly arrived on set in order to discuss royalties for his portrayal within the film, but things got out of hand. After a scuffle with Cle “Bone” Sloan, an actor in the film, the story goes that Suge attempted to flee quickly in his massive truck. In doing so, he hit three men with his vehicle and fatally killed one of them. The victim was later identified as Terry Carter, a friend of Suge’s who actually came with him to the scene.
After the collision, Suge fled from the scene of the crime but was later caught and promptly arrested by Los Angeles police. He was placed in a downtown prison with bail set at at $2 million, however that was soon revoked and replaced with a “no bail” posting. During the early days of his detainment, he suffered a blood clot that sent him to an emergency room in Long Beach. The health complication is the result of gunshot wounds Suge received a few years back at a Grammy after party.
Suge’s attorneys have attempted to argue that he was fleeing in an attempt to avoid being attacked by Sloan. Should this be true, the hit-and-run would be considered an accident. Suge is currently charged with two counts of hit-and-run as well as a charge of attempted murder. He could be facing a life sentence.
This new footage does not explicitly confirm or deny previous reports. That being said, it definitely shows how brutal things got in such a short amount of time. While there is no audio to accompany the clip, the action taking place says more than enough. See for yourself.
Warning, the footage is a little disturbing:
