Canadian electronic band Delerium have announced their latest album Rarities & B-Sides, which is scheduled to be released on April 21st of this year. The album will comprise of previously unreleased tracks and remixes recorded over the past 15 years. There has been three singles from the album so far currently making airwaves, “Glimmer” featuring Emily Haines of Metric, “Ray”, which was originally a B-side from their last album, Music Box Opera, and “Aurora”, featuring vocalist Rykka.
“There are three tracks on our Rarities & B-Sides that are previously unreleased.” says Bill Leeb of Delerium. “These songs were literally buried in a box of tapes for more than 10 years and were accidentally unearthed by our sound engineer Greg Reely. “Aurora” features the Swiss-Canadian vocalist Rykka and having been buried in the shuffle of all of the Music Box Opera demos, is very unique. The music itself goes back several years but the vocals were done more recently, so it is truly a blend of the past and the present.”
Delerium was formed in 1987 by former Skinny Pubby member, Bill Leeb and later joined by Rhys Fulber. Leeb has released 15 albums under the name Delerium, not including the April 21st release.

“Glimmer”, which was released back in January and features Emily Haines on the vocals can be listened to here. On the overall tone of the track, Leeb states, “The song’s words remind us even in the darkest moments when it seems all is lost, with perseverance and a little luck, we can find our own place and keep that glimmer of hope.”
