Welsh indie pop artist Marina and the Diamonds has released a new music video for “Forget,” a track from her upcoming third album.
The album, Froot, will be released on March 16. Each month leading up to its release, Marina and the Diamonds have also premiered a new music video. “Forget” will be the last video leading up to the new album. It was preceded by “Immortal” in January and “I’m a Ruin” in February.
The video and song both begin rather subdued and slow. Marina steps onto a set with a white background and lots of bright lights, while she stands stationary at the microphone. As the song’s tempo picks up, Marina moves to the other side of the white background where her full band is playing. The video cuts back and forth between her dancing and singing with the rest of the band and shots of her on her own. You can watch the “Forget” music video below.
Marina and the Diamonds have been announced in the lineups of multiple festivals from all over the world this year. She will perform at Austin’s SXSW Music Festival in mid-March and then she will perform at Lollapalooza Brasil later in March. In April, she will play as part of the Coachella lineup in Indio, California, and she will play at Governors Ball Music Festival in New York City in June.
