HUM has announced that they will have a free performance at the SXSW Interactive. Their performance will be at 8 p.m. on March 14 in Austin, TX at Licha’s Cantina.
HUM’s performance has been added as part of The Pygmalion Festival concert series.This show will be RSVP only, but it is completely free to attend. Organizers caution that putting in an RSVP does not guarantee admission into the event. Those interested can RSVP for the show here.
HUM’s performance serves as the kick off for the “You’re Welcome” campaign. This campaign was created to showcase the talents of residents and alumni of the small Midwestern cities Champaign-Urbana and University of Illinois.
In addition to the announcement about HUM, The Pygmalion Festival has added a Tech Conference to the event. Alongside the music that has emerged from this area, The University of Illinois has developed incredibly progressive technological innovations over the years.
The official Pygmalion Festival will be taking place on Sep 23-27. Performing artist, authors reading, guest panelists, and all vendors will be announced sometime in April.The lineup for Champaign-Urbana @ SXSW Interactive is included below.
