LISTEN: Le Volume Courbe Release New song “The House” Featuring My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields

Le Volume Courbe and Kevin Shields are teaming up for the second time to release a new single called “The House.”

It’s been a little over ten years, but Le Volume Courbe and My Bloody Valentine’s Kevin Shields are teaming up once again to put together a new single for the group entitled “The House.” Arriving just a couple of days ago, “The House” is a brilliant collaboration of mellow guitar phrasings and amped-up rock rhythms, a sound that plays to the strengths of both Le Volume as well as the production talents of Shields himself.

The collaboration is but a first of what will hopefully be many more collaborations between the two musical titans. Back in November, Shields confirmed his new record label, Pickpocket was officially under way. The first big release for the label was Le Volume Courbe’s Theodaurus Rex EP, which contains a few promising flashes of the work that we can only hope will continue to be produced under the Pickpocket label. Shields himself appears to be more content to work with the group and on his new label, the latter of which will not feature any new releases from My Bloody Valentine, the band which gave Shields his notoriety.

With a soothing introductory guitar piece, vocals that lull the listener into an almost ethereal state of being, and some fancy orchestral bits in between, “The House” is an amazing tune. We can only hope that a new record will soon be in the works and available for our listening pleasure in the immediate future.
