Heavy metal band Black Label Society will be at the City National Grove of Anaheim for the only Southern California show during their current tour. The band consists of Zakk Wylde on guitar and lead vocals, John DeServio on bass and two new members Jeff Fabb on drums and Dario Lorina on rhythm guitar. Fabb recorded on the band’s 2014 album Catacombs of the Black Vatican and Lorina joined right after.
Wylde was a former guitarist for Ozzy Osbourne for two Ozzy albums in the late 80s and early 90s but had to leave the band in 1992 when Ozzy retired for the first time. Wylde later fronted the Southern metal side project Pride & Glory and released Book of Shadows under his own name in the mid-90s. It wasn’t until 1998 when Wylde teamed up with drummer Phil Ondich and formed Black Label Society. They released their debut album Sonic Brew that same year.
Black Label Society is known for playing heavy metal, doom metal, and hard rock. Their latest album Catacombs of the Black Vatican peaked at #5 on the Billboard 200. After they play in the states they’ll be heading back to Europe so make sure to catch them while you can.
