POP ETC, formerly known as The Morning Benders, have taken listeners back to the upbeat, groovin’ time of the 80s with their latest video for “Running In Circles.”
Taking us back to our childhood days with scenes of glowing Lite-Brites, the video quickly evolves into a spellbinding, vividly colored dream. The 80s vibe of the song sets the stage for the flashing neon lights and perfectly angled shadows cast in the video. It’s a modern take on a vintage feeling track. A press release quotes the AV Club exclaiming, “fans [are] finding a lot to love in the track that blends synths and soul.”
POP ETC frontman Chris Chu explains the story behind “Running In Circles” telling AXS, “[the song is about] losing track of where you are and where your life is taking you. It’s about losing someone or something close to you and the disorientation that follows.”
