The Givers are an indie pop group from Lafayette, Louisiana. The band’s lineup consists of Tiffany Lamson (vocals/percussion), Taylor Guarisco (vocals/guitar), Kirby Campbell (drummer/vocals), Josh LeBlanc (bass/guitar), and Nick Stephan (flute/saxophone/keys).
The band formed after Hurricane Katrina when Lamson and Guarisco had to more back to Lafayette. The two started playing music together and eventually recruited other members. They gained the other members before a last-minute performance at a local pub. The band is essentially a result of an unplanned and improvised jam.
The Givers debut album, The Light, was released in 2011. It consisted of their most notable single “Up Up Up,” which has been featured on the popular TV show Glee.
