At this year’s Grammy Awards, young Ed Sheeran was led by two amazing backing bands. The first featured John Mayer, Herbie Hancock, and Philly’s favorite drummer, Questlove. Then he came out for a second song to perform with ELO. In addition to his stellar performances, which had the crowd up out of their seats, Ed Sheeran was also nominated for several awards that night.
After an amazing 2014, Sheeran has announced his upcoming X Tour, named after his wildly successful album of the same name. You can catch the pop superstar when he arrives at The Mann for an early summer show this May. Ed Sheeran most recently toured with his friend, and fellow pop superstar Taylor Swift, when he opened for her on her RED Tour. So Ed is clearly comfortable with the large venue performance, and will have no trouble keeping the Mann Center crowd captivated this summer. In addition to all of the critical buzz surrounding his sophomore album, x, Ed Sheeran also has the distinction of being the most streamed artist on Spotify for 2014.
