Young Fathers @ Boot & Saddle 4/11

Mercury Prize winners, Young Fathers, will be in town this spring for a headlining show at Boot & Saddle. The trio will be out in support of their newly announced album, White Men Are Black Men Too. You can catch the guys when they arrive in Philly on April 11th. And with their quickly rising popularity, you will definitely want to check them out at a small venue like The Boot before they head somewhere much bigger next year.

In addition to announcing their upcoming album, Young Fathers also shared the first single, “Rain or Shine,” which you can stream below. The new release from Young Fathers is, of course, the follow up to their highly acclaimed 2014 release, DEAD. That album earned them their much buzzed about Mercury Prize for Album of the Year. With just a taste so far of what’s in store with the new album, it’s safe to say that Young Fathers are poised to have another successful year.

Immediately after the release of White Men Are Black Men Too, Young Fathers will head out on their spring tour, which will kick off on April 9th in Boston and cap off in May at Hangout Fest. And with the energetic sounds of “Rain or Shine,” the Scottish/Liberian/Nigerian experimental hip-hop group are poised to be one of the top acts of the year.
