Eaux Claires Music Festival Announces Inaugural Lineup Announced Featuring Bon Iver, Doomtree and Charles Bradley

It’s always amazing when the volunteers establish new music festivals, laying the foundation to discovering new places and enjoying various artists in the new, unusual atmosphere. This time, Bon Iver‘s Justin Vernon and The National‘s Aaron Dessner are those volunteers, opening up summer Eaux Claires Music Festival, due to be held July 17-18 in Vernon’s hometown of Eau Claire, WI, surrounded by Chippewa River Valley.

Gathering all kinds of music artists, from Melt-Banana to Boys Noize, both Vernon’s and Dessner’s outfits are also taking part in the festival.

Here’s what Vernon had to say about Eaux Claires in a press release:

We at Eaux Claires have been driven by the idea that our festival would encourage music-genre-walls to melt away. That the barriers between the stage and the audience altered, and expression and experience put above all. We have put so much thought into who should collaborate at this festival, from musicians to actors, filmmakers to visual artists. We will all share and revel in this collision of artistic force while performing inthe arms of our own Chippewa River Valley.
