Only You, AKA Rachel Fannan, has released a video for the song “Let Me Burn.”
Stereogum premiered Only You’s self-directed video for the song “Let Me Burn,” which features singer Rachel Fannan singing her guts out in a sparkly evening dress.
The song is one of two singles, the other “The Pressure,” which were released two weeks ago as a part of Hit City U.S.A.’s For Immediate Release series.
Based in LA, Rachel Fannan sang for a series of bands (Sleepy Sun, Anywhere) before creating the retro band Only You, which features rotating band members. She formed the band in 2010, and released a single on White Iris Records.
Fannan recently spoke with Smashed Chair about her passion for music:
“Ok, why keep making music? Because I have to. Music is my passion in life. I have to do it. I’ll have been up all night and go to work, come home and I’m starving or I have to really pee, but before I eat or go to the bathroom I immediately get on the piano or pick up my guitar. Without a thought to what else is going on I just have to. It’s probably a chemical thing. There is no ON/OFF switch.”
