Bad Religion is a punk rock band that formed in Los Angeles, California. The bands lyrics often relate to matters of social responsibility which are tied into songs with catchy guitar solos and vocal harmonies that often sound religious. The lineup of the band has changed multiple times throughout their existence . Throughout their career they have released sixteen studio albums, two live albums, three compilation albums, three EPs and two DVDs.
The band experienced a cult following with many of their early albums. They had their first major worldwide breakthrough in 1994 with the release of their eight studio album Stranger Than Fiction, which spawned their biggest hits “Infected” and “21st Century (Digital Boy). The album was later certified gold in the United States and Canada.
Their latest album, True North, was released in 2013. Bad Religion has since been titled one of the best-selling punk rock acts of all time, having sold over 5 million albums worldwide.
