San Fermin @ Union Transfer 5/7

Back in October, San Fermin graced the Union Transfer stage alongside co-headliner Courtney Barnett. Now, the Brooklyn band is headed back to Union Transfer to serenade the crowd once again, only this time they’ll be headlining the show themselves. Bringing along opening act Natalie Prass. You can catch them when they return to Philly on May 7th!

This past year was a busy one for the baroque pop band. They had a sold out show at Johnny Brenda’s at the start of the year in February and another appearance at The Kimmel Center in June. In supporting their stunning debut release, San Fermin made appearances at SXSW and Firefly in addition to their pretty consistent touring schedule. In December, they announced the release of their upcoming sophomore album, Jackrabbit. The album is due out April 21st via Downtown Records. Along with the announcement, San Fermin gave fans a taste of the new album in song “Parasites.”

For those of you who are eagerly awaiting the release of their newest album, San Fermin has dropped a second track off of the upcoming LP. The title track “sums up some themes I’ve been circling for a while now,” explains frontman Ellis Ludwig-Leone, describing the song as “fight-or-flight plus a marching band.” See for yourself here. For their upcoming tour, San Fermin will be bringing along rising talent, Natalie Prass, who will also spend the year touring with the likes of Son Lux, Hiss Golden Messenger, and Ryan Adams.
