Kentucky’s Cage the Elephant rocked a sold out show Thursday night at the Observatory in Santa Ana. The show was the first of three Southern California dates for the band before heading to the 57th Grammy Awards. The band nabbed their first-ever Grammy nomination for Best Alternative Music Album category for their 2013 album “Melophobia”.

The six-piece band did not disappoint the raucous crowd with performances of some of their best hits including “Ain’t No Rest For the Wicked,” “Cigarette Daydreams” and “Back Against the Wall.” Lead singer Matt Shultz matched the crowd’s intensity with his electrifying dance moves and stage-dives that had everyone going throughout the night.
