Royal Blood released their eponymous debut record back in August under the Warner Bros. Records label. Since it’s release, the album has sold half a million copies worldwide and has also been streamed millions of times on such sites as Spotify. To promote their record and to push their fame to the next level, Royal Blood has confirmed dates for a pretty substantial tour that will begin in mid-April and stretch all the way into the summer. Adding to the excitement of the new tour, Royal Blood will also share the stage with the Foo Fighters for series of supporting tour dates. In between their main tour and the co-headlining tour with the Fighters, Royal Blood will also participate in a few festivals this spring and summer, taking part in the legendary Coachella Festival, as well as the Governor’s Ball in New York and Bonnaroo this year. These festivals, combined with their appearance at KROQ’s Almost Acoustic Christmas, shows how quickly they’ve been able to put together a following and how much they want more listeners to join in the rocking. Put it all together, and it won’t be too long before everyone knows of this heavy new British duo.

Royal Blood boast a massive wall of sound that contains elements of both deep blues and hard rock, drawing comparisons to latter-day Led Zeppelin and such famous rock groups as Queens of the Stone Age. Despite having a rich, socking sound, Royal Blood only contains two members, not unlike the other well-know music duo The Black Keys. With the release of their debut record, Royal Blood are up for several NME and Brit Awards, and their debut album is also nominated for the prestigious Mercury Prize. Though only officially hitting airwaves a few short months ago, their incredible sound is quickly pushing them up the charts and into the mainstream. Their tour gets underway on April 13th at the Fonda Theater and will conclude August 25th when they support the Foo Fighters in Pittsburgh’s First Niagara Pavillion.
