Jumpstart might be the longest running “unofficial” SXSW party hosted by The Midgetmen, which has been rocking locals and visitors for 8 years running. If you missed it last year, these are the same rockers that brought the talk of South By 2014 Diarrhea Planet to town. This year, Jumpstart is returning to Austin on Friday, March 20th.
For now, they are just kicking things off and don’t have their official music lineup out, but they say we can expect Jumpstart 8 to be even bigger. They do however, have their venue locked down. The party kicks off at noon and has a host of sponsors already, so it’s sure to be good – Austin locals will tell you Side Bar is one of the best places to drink in town anyways.
