This March, you can catch Hanni El-Khatib when he takes over the stage at Boot & Saddle. He is currently on tour supporting Philly’s own Dr. Dog on their massive US tour. Then he heads out to Europe for his own headlining tour, before he makes his way back to the states for some stops here in Philly. Born in San Francisco, Hanni El-Khatib worked first as a creative director for a skateboard fashion label and as a designer for an ad agency before he ventured into the music industry. In 2011, he opened for Florence + the Machine and later released his debut, Will the Guns Come Out. Also in 2011, Hanni El-Khatib found himself playing at festivals across the country, including stops at SXSW and Bonnaroo.

He went on to release his second album, Head in the Dirt, in 2013 after two years of touring extensively. The album was recorded by The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach. His third release, Moonlight, dropped in January of this year. The album has been described as “the rarest and most welcome kind of album, made at that perfect point in life where confidence, experience, and technique unite to help an artist do anything they want.” Grab the album now and head out to see him when he makes his way to The Boot this March.
