Prepare yourselves for another mind-blowing collaboration: Paul McCartney, Rihanna and Kanye West. The trio maintains a minimalist theme on their latest project.
If a Paul McCartney, Kanye West and Rihanna collaboration doesn’t spark your interest, I don’t know what will. With all musicians equally as successful as they are talented, Paste Magazine reports that the trio joined forces for a music video titled “FourFiveSeconds,” directed by Inez and Vinoodh.
This marks the first single from Rihanna’s forthcoming untitled LP. A stark contrast from her more pop-y tunes, “FourFiveSeconds” is rather soft and melodic—save for Paul McCartney’s passionate strumming of the riff on an acoustic guitar. It is a simple, unembellished track, setting the perfect stage for this minimal black-and-white video featuring a “fully denim-clad” trio.
The release of this video comes only a month after Kanye dropped his collaboration with McCartney titled “Only One.” Catch the trio on the Grammys this Sunday, where they have been confirmed to perform together live.
