UPDATE: Rapper’s hit-and-run incident leads to serious courthouse drama. Mxdwn is back with the latest.
After reports of a violent confrontation in Compton late last week, rapper and ex-owner of Death Row Records Suge Knight has been charged with the murder of Terry Carter, 55, as well as one count of attempted murder and two additional counts for hit-and-run. Knight turned himself in and provided a lengthy 3-hour interview following the incident. He was later imprisoned by Los Angeles police.
New news today as Knight was reportedly sent to the hospital after pleading “Not Guilty” to the previously stated charges. After making his plea, he apparently suffered from a panic attack while being returned to a private area. Gunshots were said to have been heard a short distance away from the courthouse, but there is no evidence of a connection between the two occurrences.
Should Knight be convicted of the charges, he may be looking at more prison time, potentially even a life-sentence. For now, all we know is that his $2 million bail has been revoked.
Reports by The Fader and Consequence of Sound have more on the story.
