Canadian indie folk band Great Lake Swimmers reveal the release date for their sixth, and latest, melodic record.
Great Lake Swimmers, the melodic indie band headed by singer-songwriter Tony Dekker, have announced the release of their sixth studio album. Titled A Forest Of Arms, the record will hit stores on April 21, 2015 via Nettwerk Records.
“With a surging rhythm section, razor sharp violin, and flourishing banjo and guitars, Tony Dekker and his band mates have created some of their most dynamic songs to date,” raves a press release.
Yesterday, Paste released the album’s first single “Zero In The City.” Listen here.
Recorded in multiple locations over the course of several months, the creation of the band’s latest work follows a journey similar to past records. The Tyendinaga Cavern and Caves in Tyendinaga, Ontario was one of the locations on their itinerary, recording multiple vocal and acoustic guitar tracks amid the majestic caves.
