The largest electronic music festival in Croatia is gearing up for its third year. Ultra Europe will be held in Split, Croatia, on July 10-12th, 2015.
This year the festival organizers are bringing in some of the biggest international DJs to headline the three days. So far, they’ve announced that fans in attendance will be treated to performances by Afrojack, Alesso, Armin van Buuren, Axwell ^ Ingrosso, Carl Cox, The Chemical Brothers (Live), David Guetta, Knife Party Martin Garrix, Nicky Romero, Steve Angello, Tiësto, and Zedd.
Ultra Europe marks the first time that the Chemical Brothers will be playing their live show in Croatia. Additionally, Steve Angello and Zedd are making their debut appearances at the festival, as well.
In keeping with the tradition of the last 2 years, Armin van Buuren and Nicky Romero will once again take to the mainstage for the third time in a row. Also, “Three Deck Wizard” Carl Cox is going to be charming audiences for a third time as he hosts his esteemed Carl Cox & Friends in Split.
After an appearance at Poljud Stadium and the Ultra Beach event, Afrojack is back with a heavy bass set, this year. And, Alesso, David Guetta, Knife Party, Martin Garrix, and Tiësto will each make their second consecutive appearance.
In 2014, Ultra Europe expanded from 2 to 3 days, welcoming more than 150,000 fans from 125 countries around the world to dance through the night at the Poljud Stadium in the historic city of Split, and according to a press release, there were an additional 1.6 million+ fans watching via the official UMF TV livestream. If that weren’t enough, Ultra Europe hosted its second annual ‘Ultra Beach’ event. Ultra Beach is an exclusive 5,000 capacity pool party at the Hotel Grand Amfora.
So, what changes are the festival organizers bringing about for Ultra Europe 2015?
Well, according to a press release, Ultra Europe is expanding to a weeklong festival, with events taking place every day. Everything kicks off with an official Warm Up Party on July 9th; then, there’s the three-day festival at the Poljud Stadium on the 10th-12th. Next, the organizers are planning an innovative Ultra Europe Regatta on July 13th, ahead of the Ultra Beach pool party on Hvar Island, which will take place on the 14th. And, lastly, they’re planning an official Closing Party on the island of Vis on July 15th to wrap up the week’s events.
