In support of her new album The Voyager, Jenny Lewis has announced 19 tour dates across the U.S. this coming Spring. This also includes several dates in support of close collaborator Ryan Adams.
Based on a press release from label Warner Bros., Jenny Lewis is adding dates in support of her most successful album to date, The Voyager. (You can find the mxdwn review for The Voyager here.) Since it’s her first top 10 album as solo artist, it makes perfect sense why she elected to extend her tour from last year’s Fall dates.

*Supporting Ryan Adams
As stated above, several of these dates are in support of her close friend Ryan Adams, who produced all but three tracks off The Voyager with Mike Viola. (You might also recall that Lewis and Adams recently covered each other’s songs while touring together, furthering speaking to their friendship and musical compatibility.) In fact, given the amount of overlap between her shows and Adams’s tour dates, it can be hard to tell where one ends and the other begins.
Promotion for the new album and tour has been extensive up to this point, including the release of a video for “Just One of the Guys” featuring movie stars Kristen Stewart, Anne Hathaway and Brie Larson having some gender-bending fun with the indie singer. In addition to “Just One of the Guys”, Lewis also released the title track in advance of the album.
Lewis also participated in record store day by releasing her Pax-Am Sessions for diehard fans and vinyl enthusiasts alike.
The singer’s tour also coincides with several of her festival engagements, including Indio, CA’s Coachella and Gulf Shores, AL’s Hang Out Festival.
