Primavera Sound 2015 Lineup Announced Featuring Alt-J, Sleater-Kinney And Ride

Primavera Sound has announced its 2015 lineup, via an animated video.

Stereogum announced that Spanish music festival Primavera Sound have announced an epic lineup for their 15th annual festival, including Alt-J, Sleater-Kinney, and Ride.

The festival takes place May 27th-30th, and is held in Barcelona, Spain. Tickets for the festival are €175, and you can by them here.

Alt-J, in the wake of losing guitarist Gwil Sainsbury, finished up an impressive 2014, with their second album This Is All Yours, debuting at No. 1 on the UK Charts. They followed the release of their latest album with a 23-day North American tour, with Cameron Knight as their newest guitarist.

Sleater-Kinney recently reunited and released their eighth album No Cities To Love, on January 20th. Carrie Brownstein recently spoke with Stereogum about 90s nostalgia and Sleater-Kinney’s reunion.

“I always find that nostalgia is sort of like memory without the pain. And that’s why it feels so good to kind of bask in that, and I think it can be deceptively comforting. I try, in the present, to not exalt the past because I think that’s such a way of diminishing the present.”

Sleater-Kinney isn’t the only recently reunited band on the bill, The Replacements, Ride and Babes In Toyland have all returned to the festival circuit.

Primavera Sound festival takes place May 27th-30th, and will take place in Barcelona, Spain.
