The Midwest Music Foundation is hitting the SXSW party news early, releasing details on their perennial MidCoast Takeover party! While the day parties will feature yet-to-be-announced acts chosen by the event sponsors, the confirmed lineup for the four-day, two-stage event already features over 50 bands including emerging indie-rockers Kangaroo Knife Fight, experimental orchestral rock outfit BE/NON, the instrument-rich Claire and the Crowded Stage, the acoustic soul of Rae Fitzgerald, and seriously dozens more, it’s nuts. And it’s all at Shangri-la, conveniently walking distance from literally anywhere else you’d be. SXSW 2015 MidCoast Takeover
The shows will be split between the outdoor stage and an acoustic indoor stage, with some artists playing both so you have no excuse not to catch at least one of their gigs. The MidCoast Takeover has been packed in the past, with last year’s parties listed among the best by do512, KVUE, and even garnering praise from USA Today, so get in early!
