Last year Skrillex put together a “Superjam” at Bonnaroo that featured Warpaint, Thundercat, Lauryn Hill, Janelle Monáe, A$AP Ferg, Mickey Hart of the Grateful Dead, Robby Krieger of the Doors, actor Craig Robinson and is now the subject of a documentary.
According to Pitchfork, The first teaser from the documentary is a behind the scenes video of Skrillex, Warpaint and Thundercat ripping into a cover of Technotronic’s “Pump Up The Jam” while rehearsing for Bonnaroo. The video also features clips of the performance as seen by the ticket goers.
The documentary series, which can be seen at uverse.com/bonnaroo, is set to showcase the Skrillex “SuperJam” and how it all came to be.
The lineup for this year’s Bonnaroo was just announced last week. It features Billy Joel, Kendrick Lamar, Run the Jewels, Slayer, Spoon, Flying Lotus, Belle and Sebastian, the War on Drugs, My Morning Jacket, and many more.
Just recently Warpaint, along with St Vincent and Alt-J contributed artwork for a radio station fundraiser and made the #6 spot on mxdwn’s Top 40 songs of 2014 with “Disco/Very”.
