Cashmere Cat is headed back to Union Transfer this spring. He just wrapped a brief Australian tour, and then he’ll head out a few US dates, including his stop here in Philly this March. You can catch the young producer on March 12th before he heads out on some festival stops, including Coachella in April.
Cashmere Cat is the alias of Norwegian producer Magnus August Hoiberg. He first started making waves in the EDM universe back in 2012 when he produced remixes for the likes of Lana Del Rey, 2 Chainz and Jeremih. He followed that up with his debut EP, Mirror Maru, in October of 2012. His unique sound started to draw attention, and the EP’s title track was even included on the GTA V soundtrack the following year.
He was recently involved with Ariana Grande’s hit album, earning himself a spot as one of her opening acts on her upcoming The Honeymoon Tour, which arrives here in Philly on March 12th. At this time, Cashmere Cat is still listed as one of Grande’s openers on March 12th in addition to his headlining gig at Union Transfer. But his personal website says otherwise. Either way, Philadelphia fans will have a chance to see the producer on March 12th in Philly at UT and you can grab your tickets now.
