With their new album due out any day now, alt rockers Guster are poised to have a very busy year. First, they head out on a winter tour that will see them hitting a few spots across the US in January and February. Philly didn’t make the cut for the winter tour, but fear not, because Guster will then head out on a Spring tour across North America. Guster’s spring tour begins at the end of March in Canada. The guys will make their way to Philly on April 24th when they’ll perform at the TLA.
Too long for you to wait to see the band? Then you’re in luck. Because today WXPN announced that Guster will be their special guests for next Friday’s Free at Noon. So after you grab your tickets for their upcoming TLA show, be sure to RSVP yourself for the band’s free slot at World Cafe Live on Friday, January 16th. Their Free at Noon appearance will come just days after their newest album, their 7th, will be released. The album, Evermotion, features help from Shins keyboardist/The Black Keys bassist Richard Swift and sees the band moving towards a more experimental noise rock sound.
Opening for Guster at their TLA show will be Kishi Bashi. He released his second studio album, Lighght in 2014. The album was the follow up to his 2012 debut.
