A third single from the forthcoming album, the first record in about five years. Intimate and amazing; probably, even better than before. Here you got – the first reaction to Belle & Sebastian new song “The Cat With The Cream.”
Glasgow indie pop legends, recently announced as one of Coachella-2015 main acts, have released a third single from their ninth studio album Girls in Peacetime Want To Dance, hitting the stores January 20 via Matador Records. As mentioned by prettymuchamazing.com, the new single “appears more politically charged than the songs we’ve heard from the album so far.”
Following the first two singles, “The Party Line,” described by consequenceofsound.net as “island-inspired,” and “the quaintly charming” “Nobody’s Empire,” the new song leaves quite an aftertaste of what to expect on the new record. We would agree with stereogum.com saying the new single is “lusher and more produced than any of the band’s older material.”
Listen to Belle & Sebastian new music below, and get prepared for the upcoming hit album.
