EDM supergroup Swedish House Mafia now have their Leave The World Behind documentary streaming on Qello, the number one streaming service for concerts and music documentaries.
The video opens with the word ‘house,’ a reference not only to the band’s name, but also to the genre of music they create. More words then fade in to show the Abraham Lincoln quote “A house divided against itself cannot stand.” This leads into a scene of Swedish House Mafia riding a boat on the ocean.
Though it begins with screaming, excited fans who say things like “you can’t explain it, you just have to experience it,” Leave The World Behind actually focuses on the split of Swedish House Mafia. A supercut of news programs announcing the group’s final tour and on-the-street style interviews with fans precedes scenes of the artists themselves talking about the end of Swedish House Mafia and how they got there.
During the 90-minute run of the documentary, we get to see glimpses of what life was like on their final world tour, which included more than 50 performances in different countries. Not only does the band speak out about things, but they also continue to show fan reactions to the news that Swedish House Mafia will soon be no more. Of course, there is some concert footage cut in between talking shots.
