Between The Buried And Me Announce They Are Working On A New Album

Tommy Giles Rogers and the team have stated they’ve been working on a new record. Three years since ‘The Parallax II: Future Sequence,’ highly rated in mxdwn Top Albums of 2012 ranking, Between the Buried And Me will try to follow the success of the forerunner, but with something totally different.

After 2014 North America tour run with Meshuggah, Deafhaven, Intronaut and The Kindred, BTBAM have decided to start new page with the album No. 7. On Christmas day they announced via Facebook:

“In two more weeks we will be reunited with the master Jamie King to record our 7th full length album together. Until then, enjoy the holidays!”

Back in 2013, loudwire.com spoke with BTBAM members about the future of their music, and the answer was quite precise. The band’s guitarist Paul Waggoner said,

“The [Parallax] story is, I think, done. I think we wanted to just do the two-thing, although we left sort of an open door. Maybe we could go further with it, but I don’t think we will. I think that was a cool challenge that we sort of gave to ourselves.”

Frontman Tommy Rogers who has recently released a solo disc Modern Noise added,

“I think I’m done with space. I mean, we’ve done so much space. There’s so much space now. Space is so “in.” You think it’s us that made it “in”? Are we the reason for ‘Gravity’?” [Laughs]

Exciting and intriguing; stay tuned for the further updates!
