The Flaming Lips have posted a video performing “Evil Will Prevail,” live for the fist time.
The Flaming Lips performed the song “Evil Will Prevail,” for the first time last night at The Warfield. They also performed “Lightning Strikes the Postman,” which hadn’t been performed since 2009, and “Psychiatric Explorations of the Fetus With Needles,” for the first time since 1986.
They also performed The Beatle’s “Sgt Pepper’s (Reprise),” for which they were joined by San Francisco band Foxygen, who opened the show.
The Flaming Lips will perform at The Warfield again tonight, where they will be joined by Phantogram and perform songs from their 1995 album, Clouds Taste Metallic.
Earlier this year, The Flaming Lips released A Little Help From My Fwends, a track by track tribute to The Beatles’ classic album Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band. It’s the band’s fourteenth studio album, and was released by Warner Bros. Records.
The Flaming Lips went through a line up change this year, with long-time drummer Kliph Scurlock leaving the band citing musical differences.
You can catch the Flaming Lips live in 2015 in Colorado, Florida, and Texas, before they head to the UK in May.
