Mod Sun @ The Parish 2/19

Mod Sun is an American hip hop recording artist from Bloomington, Minnesota. Mod Sun released his first full length CD, I’ll Buy Myself, in January of 2009. The album featured 11 songs, all of which were original beats made by Mod Sun himself. The songs were written and recorded over a 8 month span. Every song on the album was recorded in his bedroom and produced by him only (hence the record title).

More recently Mod Sun released his second mixtape, How To Make A MOD SUN (H2MAMS). The album includes 17 new original songs. H2MAMS is about his thoughts on growing up, and how he got to where he is today. His lyrics are well written with some wordplay tied into his lyrics, “I care about the first 3 letters of the word ‘artist’. I take my word very seriously.”
