LISTEN: Buzzcocks Release Song “Keep On Believing”

Legendary British punk rocker outfit The Buzzcocks have shared a new single with the world earlier this week called “Keep On Believing,” a single off of their recent record called The Way

The Buzzcocks have enjoyed a relatively healthy rise in popularity over the decades, despite an initial breakup in the early eighties. Now, the new premise behind their latest single release is that “Keep On Believing” features “energetic drumming, a nice guitar solo, and endearingly positive lyrics,” according to the group. While the last qualifier may cause some eyeballs to roll (this is a punk rock group, after all), the band’s description of “Keep On Believing” is as spot-on as one can get. There’s such an amazing buzz of energy off of this single that they could have easily put it out during their heyday and it would sell a million copies. The Buzzcocks aren’t selling out lyrically or otherwise by releasing this particular song. Rather, they are taking a slightly newer approach to their record production that stands as only a minor contrast to their previously angst-filled singles and records.

With The Way primarily funded by public fundraising campaign, the Buzzcocks have proved that their investors have spent their money very well with this single alone, and the best part is that there’s a whole other album of other brilliant songs out there now.
