Hot off the success of their June release, PHOX will be headed out a headlining tour in February of 2015. The tour will see the band arriving in Philadelphia on February 13th when they’ll perform at Union Transfer. The show is presented by WXPN 88.5. PHOX hails from Wisconsin and were recently called “Madison, Wisconsin’s musical success story of 2013.” The band consists of six friends who all grew up together in the Wisconsin town of Baraboo. They released their EP Confetti in the beginning of 2013. Along with the EP, PHOX released a video component for each track. And it was an upward spiral for them ever since, with performances at SXSW and an opening gig supporting Blitzen Trapper.
In August of 2013, PHOX became a late minute addition to the Lollapalooze lineup where they were able to entertain a fairly large crowd. And then in June of this year, they finally released their debut record. And they’ve been much buzzed about since. They played a sold out show at Boot & Saddle in July. Head to UT in February for what is sure to be an even better performance as the group of friends continues to find their stride.
