In comparison to the controversial video that he is unfortunately linked to, Marilyn Manson’s new video for “Deep Six” is but a walk in the park.
Marilyn Manson has released a new video for his latest single, “Deep Six,” and it’s one heck of a trip. The video features an unknown nude participant being swallowed up by some sort of amorphous, snake-like creature. Adding to the oddity of the unknown snake-ish being is Manson himself being enveloped by the bizarre tube, allowing only his face to stick out at the end of the tube. The song itself is classic Manson, as it features a heavy, powerful tone and Manson’s vocals, which are a whispering low one minute and a screeching howl the next.
Manson has been embroiled in a bit of controversy as of late. He has been linked to a controversial new video in which Lana Del Rey is shown being raped by Eli Roth. Both Manson and his representatives have taken a hard stance against the video, with both parties claiming that Manson had nothing to do with the situation.
For now, amidst all of the speculation as to what exactly transpired, what we are left with is a rather sparse video by traditional Manson standards. The freaky snake-like thing slithers and undulates along a white background, and the video frequently cuts to Manson in his famous attire, pale makeup included. He is currently engaged in playing dates for his “Guns God And Government” World Tour.
