LISTEN: Broken Social Scene Release Previously Unreleased Song “Golden Facelift”

Broken Social Scene prepare to wrap up the new year by tossing in a previously unreleased new single for an upcoming collaborative compilation record.

A new compilation album that summarizes the year in music is being released by the record label Arts & Crafts with help from the Canadian newspaper The Globe & Mail. Included within the multi-track, multi-artist record is an unreleased track by Broken Social Scene called “Golden Facelift.” The song contains the basic soft/hard/soft sound that was found throughout such groups such as The Pixies, Nirvana, and Foo Fighters. The track contains such a fantastic melodic structure that it’s a wonder why it was never featured on any record by the Scene.

The new single, in addition to several others by other artists will be featured on the compilation record Broadsheet Music: A Year In Review and is already available to download and stream online. The fantastic new single by Broken Social Scene will play alongside an unbelievable seventeen minute Italian opera by Fucked Up.
