One of the biggest metal festivals on the East Coast – Jacksonville’s Welcome To Rockville Festival – returns to Florida’s scenic Metropolitan Park, bringing a powerful rock lineup including Slipknot, Korn and Godsmack, along with Marilyn Manson, Slayer, Ministry, Breaking Benjamin, Papa Roach and a bunch of other honorable metal outfits.
According to craveonline.com, Florida’s biggest rock festival kicks off the World’s Loudest Month festival series.
“It’s gonna be awesome bringing on of the world’s loudest bands to Rockville for the World’s Loudest Month,” says Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor. “I hope the fans are ready because we’re coming for EVERYONE.”
As for Korn, the band will be celebrating the 20th anniversary of their self-titled breakthrough album, by playing the record in its entirety onstage. That’s what Welcome To Rockville creator and producer Danny Wimmer says about it,
“Korn is one of the most important bands of the last 20 years. They almost single-handedly created a genre of music. When they offered to perform this seminal album front to back, I had to have this special moment for my home town.”
Of Mice & Men’s Austin Carlile adds,
“We’re incredibly excited to be a part of Welcome to Rockville 2015 in Jacksonville. It’s our first time playing the festival and it’s an honor to be a part of one that has such a great history of bands. See you soon, Florida.”
The coming event will also feature Welcome to Rockville Tequila World, featuring a wide range of tequilas, margaritas, tacos and more with Metalachi band performing on the Tequila World stage each day.
