The Decemberists premiere a third track from their forthcoming album, What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World, along with an accompanying lyric video.

In the midst of releasing videos for two tracks (“Make You Better” and “Lake Song”) off of their upcoming seventh studio album, What A Terrible World, What A Beautiful World, The Decemberists have premiered another new song.

For their third release, the Portland natives provide “The Wrong Year.” Consequence of Sound writes, “[the track] is a Tom-Petty inspired folk jam, a thoughtful ditty marked by a riveting chorus, string section, and a wellspring of earnest emotions.” The accompanying lyric video, created by Anthem Films, depicts shifting patterns that rearrange into different scenes, emulating a pop-up storybook.
