Isle of Light, the Dominican Republic’s second annual festival, has announced its 2015 lineup.
Isle of Light Festival in the Dominican Republic has announced their 2015 lineup including Chromeo, Warpaint, and Soul Clap.
The Isle of Light will be taking place for the second time on one day, March 7th, 2015. The festival is held in Santo Domingo’s historic “Old Colonial Zone,” which is on the Rio Ozama shoreline.
The international acts playing at the festival include Soul Clap, WhoMadeWho, and Walking Shapes, along with local Dominican acts Tango Whiskey Man and Auro Sonico. The headliners are Los Angeles indie based Warpaint, and funk duo Chromeo.
Isle of Light was founded by Marco Vicini of No Shame Records, Luis Betances, Phil Hoelting, and Morgan Lebus. Last year’s festival featured acts like Twin Shadow, The Juan Maclean, Pompeya and Legowelt, who playe to three thousand fans.
The festival sells general admission tickets, along with Nova VIP and Supernova VIP, which features airport and island transportation, and access to special events ranging from island excursions, private parties and dinners.
The festival also includes a welcoming reception, the Ilse of Light Pre-Party, beach trips, and more. The festival stated in a press release, “Top notch production, art and music all come together to bring a culturally diverse crowd to one of the most beautiful cities in the Caribbean.”
General admission tickets for the festival are on an early-bird sale for $26, and advancing to $185 for Supernova VIP, and can be purchased here.
