The metal-core supergroup has cancelled the end of an American tour due to overwork.
Mike “IX” Williams, of EyeHateGod, Scott Kelly, of Neurosis, Bruce Lamont, of Yazuka and Sanford Parker, of Minsk, formed supergroup Corrections House and have released a live collection Writing History in Advance, through War Crime Recordings in Los Angeles. It is a powerful testament to “sonic decay”, and they have been touring it extensively. The also have an album called Last City Zero out, which was recorded and released last year at 60 Psycho Hum and Nodferatu’s Lair. The album deals heavily with topics of government conspiracies and the degradation of society and the psyche.
The group has been touring with Statiqbloom lately, and earlier this month they played in New York City at Saint Vitus. The tour, however was postponed. Mike “IX” Williams, the co-frontman of the collective, has received strict orders from a medical official to rest and recuperate his body, and to take vitamins and revamp his allegedly sparse diet. While it doesn’t sound as though these symptoms will deter him from hardcore rocking and metal mania in the future, it was necessary for the group to postpone the rest of their tour. In an official statement, he disclosed the following:
Overwork, nonstop travel, overexertion on stage and poor eating habits will eventually grind you to rubble. I need a bit of time to heal and repair my wounded body and mind.
Hopefully, the cancelled shows below, will be rescheduled as soon as Mike gets his health back.
The band works with Seward Fairbury to create the shocking aesthetic featured in the above picture; they are known to tour in these uniforms, and their symbology is married to their sound of degenerative dissonance. They describe themselves as a mysterious cooperative of lost souls, without control of their destiny creating poetic putrefaction.
