This March, you’ll definitely want to have tickets for Perfume Genius’s takeover of Union Transfer. The Seattle-based artist, who also goes by the name Mike Hadreas will head to UT on March 24. His upcoming performance is part of the 10 stop tour this March. The tour kicks off on March 16 in Columbus, Ohio I makes its way to Philly the next week. He’ll wrap things up at the end of March in Tennessee.
Perfume Genius continues to support his newest album, Too Bright, which was released September via Matador Records. The album is his third release, with his first having dropped back in 2010. His second album came out two years later. But it’s this third album that is giving Perfume Genius his fair share of critical acclaim.
He was here in Philadelphia just a few months ago this October performing at Johnny Brenda’s. And Perfume Genius will make his triumphant return to the Philadelphia stage on March 24 playing at the much larger UT. In addition to his recent tour announcement, Perfume Genius also gifted fans with the music video for his single “Fool.” Support for the show will come from Jenny Hval, so as always be sure to arrive early and support your openers.
