Frank Black And The Catholics Announce Box Set For March 2015 Release

Frank Black And The Catholics have confirmed a complete recordings box set featuring all six of their incredible studio albums.

All six of Frank Black And The Catholics’ studio albums are being packaged together in a brand new box set. The collection contains seven discs comprised of material from their 1998 eponymous debut record on through their final album, 2003’s Show Me Your Tears. In addition to those tracks, there will also be a bonus seventh disc which includes various recordings from the sessions that produced Black Letter Days. In all, the collection will feature one hundred songs, all of which are listed in alphabetical order rather than chronological.

Frank Black And The Catholics were formed in 1997 by Black Francis of The Pixies, and also features Lyle Workman on lead guitar, David McCaffrey on bass, and Scott Boutier on drums. Their sound was a far cry from The Pixies, utilizing a more laid back, bare bones sound and style. The collection is planned for a March 23rd release.
